2006 - Switzerland
We returned to Switzerland in 2006. We were very impressed with the country the short time we were there in 2004, and we vowed that we'd return as soon as possible. Unfortunately 2005 turned out to be a very expensive one and we didn't make it - but in 2006 we made amends.
The trip was planned to last a couple of weeks - sailing from Hull to Rotterdam again, then down to Mainz on the first day and into Switzerland on the second. We will then spend the rest of the time exploring the wonderful roads with brief trip into northern Italy. It didn't work out that way - the weather was horrible and we had some bad luck - so we ended up cutting it short. You can read the full details in the diary.
