Friday 11th June
We got up around 7am, packed and set off around 8. The weather was dry, but cloudy and fairly cool - a bit of a constrast to what we were used to!
We had excellent progress and had a very uneventful journey all the way to Rotterdam. We arrived at Rotterdam at around 1pm. I rang P & O ferries and bought our tickets and then we had nothing to do but wait until 5pm to board.
While we were waiting we got talking to a couple who were returning from touring around France and Germany. The bloke was on a Hyabusa and the lass was on a new R1. I was very impressed that the lass had done all that distance on an R1 - it would have crippled me!
We boarded at 5pm - had a few beers and went to bed knowing we would be home tomorrow! It was wierd because, although we had really enjoyed the holiday, it was so good to know we would be home soon.
