Day 2 - Saturday 2nd June
We both got up by 9am and considering how much we'd both drunk the previous night - neither of us were too worse for wear. We went for breakfast, which was very nice, and then packed and went to settle up. The owner of the B & B said we could pay after our stay on day 4 if we wanted - which was very nice of him.
We set off by around 9:30 to 10am. It was drizzly to start with but cleared very soon. Our first stop was Rob Roy's grave which was about 3 or 4 miles from where we were staying. The grave is simply that - but the location is very nice and it's not often you get to see the grave of a legend.

Back on the bikes, we headed for Glencoe. It did rain on us a little up there - but not too bad, and it cleared soon enough so by the time we got to Fort William all our kit was dry again. We stopped for a cuppa near Loch Leven in the most disorganised cafe in the world. After what seemed an age we were back on the road.

On entering Fort William we noticed a mountain rescue helicopter in one of the car parks, so we went to investigate. We parked the bikes next to the helicopter to get photos and then moved them as the pilot told us he was taking off soon. We stood as near as they let us while it took off and the wind was intense. It took all our effort to remain stood-up! Taking the pictures of the helicopter was very difficult!

We continued on the road up to Loch Ness and caught up with a guy on a Honda Pan European. We thought we would simply breeze past him as soon as we got to some twisty bands, but we were wrong. The guy could ride. I have never seen a bike of that type being thrown around and getting the lean angles he was getting. I wanted to shake his hand but we went our separate ways before I could.
The A82 up the side of Loch Ness is one of my favourite roads, and it didn't disappoint this day either. We had good weather conditions and very little traffic. The road is one bend after another for mile upon mile and is very enjoyable to ride.
Halfway up Loch Ness we stopped at Urquhart Castle. Unfortunately they did not have the facilities to store our luggage for us, so we had to carry it around the castle. After a fairly short time this got extremely tiring and we deciding to simply get back on the bikes and carry on to Inverness.

We found our B & B easily, and were again impressed with how nice it was. By this time Nig had got a little fed up with carrying all the weight of his luggage on his back and decided to bin a load of stuff - basically all his dirty stuff and some other clothes he didn't think he needed. We freshened up and went exploring Inverness for something to eat. After walking around most of the town we found a nice American Diner type restaurant in which we both had pizzas. While the food was very nice, the place was heated to a stupidly high temperature so we finished as soon as we could and left.

We then came upon a pub which was £1.20 a pint and £1.50 a bottle! We decided this was our type of place and stayed there all night.
Eventually we stumbled pack to the B & B, past Bazpackers. I fell into a very sound sleep while Nig listened to his MP3 player all night again!
