Daz's Kawasaki ZRX 1200

Daz bought this lovely bike this year to replace his unique Suzuki Bandit.

This bike has plenty of grunt, handles very well, and also looks fantastic.

Daz has fitted a hard luggage rack, which was suprisingly hard to find and quite expensive, but it should be worth it as having hard luggage is a major plus when touring.

Nig's Honda VFR 800

Bit of a story behind this one. Nig had originally bought a Suzuki SV1000 to do this tour on but two weeks before the trip it was stolen!

I had been thinking of getting a replacement for the VFR so I brought my plans forward a bit and sold the VFR to Nig.

Dee's Triumph Sprint ST

I did indend to do this trip on my VFR but as mentioned earlier, I replaced the VFR with this Triumph so Nig had a bike to go touring with.

This is a bike I never got on with. From the moment I picked it up from the shop I had gearbox problems. This persisted a full year before Triumph completely replaced the clutch, fixing the issue. I had electronic issues, the bike would randomly blow rectifiers; I ended up carrying a spare with me just in case. On top of all that, it was physically large and very heavy, making it very hard work to move around.

It did have it's good points though. I really like how it looks and the engine is amazing; the large 1050 triple engine will pull effortlessly out of any corner. Once it's moving it is very comfortable, the screen and fairing doing an excellent job.
